WHAT HAPPENED HERE

APEX Research Division spent two years studying an anomaly they did not understand. Then they tried to move it.

The Meridian went down at 400 metres. Thirty-one people did not make it. Eleven did.

The Core pushes the fog back. The Core also calls them in. Shut it off and the Veil takes the plateau. Keep it running and they keep coming.

There is no third option.
